A few weeks ago I was sent an email asking if I would like to review Zalando. I clicked on the website and pretty much said yes straight away. They are an online shoe store, stocking lots of lovely brands such as Dr. Martens, Swedish Hasbeens, Esprit and Mel by Melissa.
Zalando asked me to pick a pair of shoes, which they would send to me for me to review. I also wanted to see how well they worked as a company and how quickly items were delivered. I wanted a overall brilliant service!
I picked a pair of shoes from the Mel by Melissa range. I’ve seen those “jelly” style sandals everywhere from this designer and I have always secretly loved them! They remind me of being six, and having a similar pair for going to the beach with my parents! I chose a purple pair with a cute butterfly on the front.
Shipping is completely free and so is return shipping so no matter what happens you only ever pay the amount that is stated on the website! I love this, as I like to try things on before I commit, so knowing that you can send an item back and not have to pay any extra, is brilliant for me!
I ordered my shoes on the 27th May and I received an email on the 31st May to say my items had left their warehouse. It took them 4 days to process my order which I do think is a little too long, but when you are getting free delivery, I guess you do expect to add a couple more days onto your order. It advised that it would take 2-3 days to be delivered and I received the shoes on the 2nd June, 2 days later. I ordered them just before my holiday, and hadn’t expected them to arrive before we left, but they did and I was honestly impressed about this!
So, lets look at the exciting bit, the shoes!
The shoes came in a cute pink shoes box, with lots of padding around the shoes to keep them safe! The shoes are so shiny and very comfortable to wear. I love the little butterfly on the front and they were perfect for wearing on the beach! Very good holiday shoes!
Overall Zalando offer a very good service and a huge range of brands. I would definitley use them again!
