First up are my new glasses. I have a bit of history with wearing glasses to be honest with you. From the age of about 12, I was told that the reason I couldn’t see the blackboard (yep, we had blackboards when I was at school, crazy huh?!) was because one of my eyes wasn’t working as well as the other one, and that from now and for the rest of my life, I would need glasses when reading and using a computer. I remember my first pair of glasses; a round, Harry Potter, style frame in a mix of red and green – so stylish! From then on as my eyes got worse, I would have new lenses and therefore new frames. And to be honest, I hated every pair. I would be ushered out from the examination room to choose a new frame, with about 10 minutes to choose. You really can’t tell in that short amount of time if you really like the glasses or if they suit you, so I would always end up not wearing the ones I had chosen because I would decide a few weeks down the line that I didn’t like them or they didn’t feel right.

So a few months ago, when I decided I needed to have my eyes checked, I walked away with my prescription and looked online for any sites that would do a try before you buy service, and that’s when I stumbled across Direct Sight. You can pick up to 4 different styles, and have them sent to your front door to try at home, meaning you can keep them on for a few days to get a feel for how they fit and ask your friends what they think of them. I picked these ones in black and brown and tried them both in the trial at home service. In the end, I realised they were doing a buy one get one free offer at the time so I had them both, but it’s such a great idea and meant that I have finally got a pair of glasses (actually 2!) that I love and want to wear all the time, even if I don’t need to!

Second up, have you noticed a little extra colour in my hair in these photos?! The lovely people over at Undercover Glamour sent me these pink clip in hair extensions to try out. I think they are amazing, and I love this soft pink shade that I got! They are just like normal hair extension with the clip at the top and they simply pop into your hair to add a little colour without the hassle and permanency of dyeing it – I love them and want to get them in all the other colours now!

When I saw this dress over on the Very website, it brought back memories of days on the beach, drinking cider in the garden and spending days in the summer doing nothing but sunbathing with a good book and Green Day playing through my headphones. So I bought it! I paired it with my cream blazer, which I always bring out during spring and summer as it’s a great light-weight cover up. I also rediscovered this headband, which gives my hair volume by pushing it up slightly at the roots.

‘Another trip to the beach?!’ you say? I know, I know! This blog is just full of posts about walking along the sands, having an ice cream and pretty views – but you know, this is what I do on my rare days off that I have with Glenn! We visited Weston-Super-Mare this time and at the end of the day, Glenn had hot donuts and I had raspberry sorbet, which matched quite well with my new shoes, which along with my new purse, were sent to me by Zalando! They are perfect spring heels and I am sucker for a new purse! Changing all my cards, money and business cards over is exciting for me – which is weird I know.

Today I spent my day off work sitting in a small room with no windows… yep you read that right! However, there is a reasonable explanation and that was a 12 hour drumming marathon being played by Glenn. He came up with the crazy idea to raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society, a cause that is very dear to him – and he did it! Beat MS was a whole 12 hours, 9am-9pm, of drumming along with other musicians and friends. I am very proud right now! And if you think it’s amazing too, you can donate RIGHT HERE! This outfit really reminds me of a school uniform; in a stereotypical-but-it-would-never-actually-be-worn-for-school kind of way! I’m pretty sure it’s the combination of blazer, blouse, knee high socks and satchel that’s doing it!

I bought this shirt and skirt on a whim from Primark. I’ve been looking for a new sheer blouse for a while now but just haven’t found the right one. This one caught my eye because of the cute gold metal tips on the collar and the stud buttons. The skirt will be perfect for when the weather warms up a little (hello? spring? where are you?!) and will get more wear when picnics and beach trips are possible!

I don’t really transport my laptop around that much anymore. When I went to university, it came with me to and from the campus pretty much every day, but now it just lives on my desk or on the floor next to my sofa! However, I still use my cupcake laptop case to store it in, especially with a cheeky cat around who loves to lie on everything he is not allowed to lie on! So when Caseable asked me if I would like one of their products, I jumped at the chance!

You can choose a case for your phone, tablet, laptop and more, and the best thing about this company is that you can have ANY photo or design on your case! If you prefer, you can also choose from lots of designs already on the website, but I wanted something personal. I chose an image to put onto my laptop case that I took during a photo shoot at Uni of a pink blossom tree in a park. The colours in the image are quite vibrant, so I was dubious about how the colour would come out on the case.

When I received the case, I was honestly surprised at the quality of the print. The colours were amazing and the image quality was brilliant. The case has soft padding on the inside to protect your electronic and the zip seems pretty sturdy.

Now I’m just waiting for them to bring out a case for my Galaxy Note 2!

When I received an email from Barratts, I must admit, I was surprised. I had assumed that they had suffered from the recession like a lot of UK high street stores, and had closed quite a while back. Well, I was wrong – and after looking through their website, I realised that actually they had a lot of really nice shoes on offer. They have lots of brands I have never heard of before, so it was fun browsing through them all and discovering a few that I actually really loved! I was asked if I would like to try a pair of their shoes and style them – and of course I said yes! (Who is going to say no to a pair of shoes?!) I thought it would be great to do a His and Hers style post, so after asking them if it would be OK, myself and Glenn both picked out a pair of shoes and awaited their arrival. I thought he deserved to be featured in a post seeing as he is such a big part of Belle Fantaisie; after all if it wasn’t for him my photos would be wonky and out of focus because I would have to use self timer!

When I sat down to post this blog, I had no idea what to call it. It’s just an outfit I wore to go with Glenn to see some of our friends in Bath overnight, and I am wearing nothing new or special. However after staring at the page for a while I realised this whole outfit just reminded me of berries and biscuits, the colours are making me feel hungry!
