‘Another trip to the beach?!’ you say? I know, I know! This blog is just full of posts about walking along the sands, having an ice cream and pretty views – but you know, this is what I do on my rare days off that I have with Glenn! We visited Weston-Super-Mare this time and at the end of the day, Glenn had hot donuts and I had raspberry sorbet, which matched quite well with my new shoes, which along with my new purse, were sent to me by Zalando! They are perfect spring heels and I am sucker for a new purse! Changing all my cards, money and business cards over is exciting for me – which is weird I know.

Going to the beach is always lovely in the summer but there is something magical about visiting the seaside in the winter too. It’s much quieter for one, which means you can enjoy the views and walk along the beach without the sound of screaming children and shouting parents! Burnham-On-Sea is somewhere I hadn’t visited before, so I was excited to see what it was like. We visited the arcade, spent a £1 in coppers, and then went for a quite walk along the sand. We finished up in a cute cafe at the end of the beach, where we had a high tea for two – yum!

Wearing: New Look shirt, River Island shorts, Topshop jumper, Topshop coat, BHS bag, Vans & gifted necklace.

EAT – Pancakes with bacon (or eggs if you are vegetarian!) with lots of maple syrup and a honeycomb hot chocolate and a skinny black forest mocha with lemon cake.

WEAR – a cute outfit and take a walk into town with your loved one! (Topshop coat, River Island top and shorts and Primark shoes.)

BUY - A new handbag from BHS, a cute umbrella from Primark (which matches the lining of said new bag!) and a big pot of sweets!

ORGANISE – Make a to-do list, plan, schedule, or a wish list. I did mine on my new phone – a Samsung Galaxy Note 2!

BAKE – some yummy muffins!

PHOTOGRAPH – Your pets because you will never have enough cute pictures of them!

RELAX – and enjoy a latte (I made mine with my Tassimo T20 machine) or a yummy fruit cider. (Also how cute is that card?!)
P.S. My graze box arrived today! I loved them the first time round so it’s fun receiving them again!

I woke up after a lovely lie in on Friday morning to find a note left on the table for me. It said to pack an overnight bag with a nice dress and to be ready for when Glenn returned home from work. How exciting! We had planned to go to Clevedon on Saturday to visit our wedding venue, to discuss a few things with the manager and to also visit a florist to choose our flowers. I was told we were staying at a friends for the night and having dinner with them, but as we got closer and closer to the hotel, I guessed we were staying there over night!

The view from our window!

Wearing: George at Asda dress and New Look heels.

We had a lovely dinner and drinks in the bar and then retired to our room with a drink. The next morning we had a delicious breakfast before heading to the sea front to walk along the snow topped pavements with a beautiful view of the sea. It was so so cold but the snow looked beautiful!

Wearing: Tesco coat, Topshop dress (hidden) River Island boots, knitted scarf, ebay camera bag and Primark penguin mittens.

Glenn wearing: Primark jumper, H&M jeans, old scarf, River Island boots and Chelsea coat.

On our way home, we stopped off in Costa to get a hot chocolate and some cake, a perfect end to a lovely trip, thanks Glenny!

So, we are on the other side of Christmas, and I can honestly say it has been the best on so far! Glenn and I started off at home, opening presents to one another and having a glass of bucks fizz, before heading to his mums for Christmas dinner. We then moved on to my parents house where we have plenty of party food and played an obligatory game of scrabble! Boxing day consisted of spending the day with my parents and sister, enjoying another Christmas dinner – having lots of families to visit really does pay off in the food department! We then spent the evening at Glenn’s dads before heading back home. I received lots of lovely gifts which I will share soon, but for now here is a look at my Christmas – through the lens of my new camera!
