As many of you will know, I am about to start a very exciting internship at Clarks. In a couple of days time I will be driving home to Somerset to begin my month long work experience which will hopefully leave me with lots of experiences and lessons learned! I will be working with the graphic design and art department, working on various projects along the way. I am so excited and feel very lucky to be working for such a trusted and established company! Of course I want to make an impression while I am there so I was exited to start planning my outfits for the month! The dress code is “smart/casual”. Honestly, I had no idea what that meant! I’ve gathered from searching on the internet that it basically means no scruffy clothes such as holey jeans or scuffed up trainers, so I began to plan…
I started off by picking out my key pieces: a smart dress, simple trousers and a few colourful blouses. Once that was done, I bought myself a few pairs of smart shoes and picked out my accessories. Here’s what I have come up with! Smart/casual without being boring!

By picking out key pieces I can wear them with different shoes, accessories and hairstyles to mix the looks up. Which one is your favourite? Do you have a dress code, a uniform or can you wear anything you want? Let me know!
p.s who likes my attempt at drawing?!

Jewellery by Vanya I recently came across this lovely little jewellery shop, which is filled with handcrafted necklaces, rings, earrings and much more, including vintage items. My favourite is the One Sugar necklace, which can be seen in the image above. How cute is that? The prices are very reasonable and I think I will be spending some money there soon!

Tabio A shop full of gorgeous patterned and coloured tights and socks. The above are my favourite tights from the site; ribbon, polka dot and heart print tights! Definitely somewhere to check out!

Deerface I stumbled across this whimsical Etsy shop and was immediately drawn in my the gorgeous drawings of cartoon girls. Run by Devon Smith who lives in New Zealand, her drawings are perfectly fantastical and beautiful I love the customised Moleskine!

Fuck Yeah Gingers A tumblr dedicated to flame haired people. Anything dedicated to ginger hair gets my vote!
What’s making you smile this week?

I was recently told about a magazine called Cellar Door. I was told that it was “a new online magazine (which aims to) bring an eclectic mix of fashion, art, music and culture in a beautiful way. Something a bit different to the usual magazine choices for young women.”
It all sounded good so I clicked to view their “Spring Fling” edition and I was thoroughly surprised. Beautiful photography, cute and enticing illustrations and interesting content kept me hooked through all 111 pages. One thing that I really loved about the magazine was the imagination that had gone into it. The Editors page background was a photograph of a girl holding a camera and the letter is written on what is made to look like a little note. Everything is thought about; everything is made to fit together so beautifully!

I definitely recommend it as a good read! See the latest issue here! You can also check out their “Winter Wonderland” Issue here!

I love this artist, who’s prints are for sale over on Etsy.
She draws simplistic illustrations of girls picking flowers, walking through idyllic woods and sewing up a broken heart. The colours are based around pinks, red and natural colours which make the drawings look very nutural and calming. I love the sweetness and naievity of the drawings and the next time I have a bit of spare money (any going?!) I will definitiley be picking up one of these!

Bella Pilar. I love the style of her drawings, swirly, gorgeous, colourful illustrations. I love her backgrounds too, which make the picture just a bit different!
